Enriched Parenting Course delivers 90% more connected families

Foundations Project is designed to address the troubled family agenda by helping build the foundations to support families in need– through our courses and centres that offer support, therapy and education.

Between January and May we ran a pilot scheme called Enriched Parenting, this was a series of 5-day parenting courses that were free to attend. These Enriched Parenting courses focused on a variety of topics, particularly learning to resolve conflict, understanding child development, building relationships and much more.

The attendees were a split between voluntary parents who signed up and parents that were referred to the course from local authorities. The course was a brilliant success, with feedback showing that 90% of attendees found they felt more connected and less-stressed in their family life following attending.

Now that the pilot scheme is complete, we will now move to our second phase of the project which is to run the schemes on a on a larger scale with residential courses.

These courses will all delivered within a residential setting for the whole family. They are ideal for families receiving social care support or charity support to overcome long-standing problems, which can lead to children repeating the cycle of issues which may include: domestic violence, relationship breakdown, mental and physical health problems and families that are in need of re-connecting.
